A Journey Inward & Outward

My Journey into the wild

2 Trips, 2 Rigs, 9 US & 4 Canadian National Parks

My journey began not only with a destination, but with a feeling—a yearning for freedom, self-discovery, true love, and connection. It was a road trip, yes, but more than that, it became a path of transformation.

Leaving behind a life filled with noise and possessions, I packed my truck with only the essentials: an open heart and my dogs (see my packing list here). The open road became both a literal and metaphorical canvas, one that stretched far beyond what I could see, offering endless possibilities for exploration—not just of the world around me, but of myself.

One directional shift can change your life forever

Each mile took me further from the person I used to be. As I journeyed into solitude, immersing myself in moments that were mine alone. My camera became a tool for documenting not just where I was, but who I was becoming. Through the lens, I began to see everything including myself more clearly— the raw, unfiltered truth of my evolving identity. I love the stillness, the quiet of being alone, and the beauty of simply being. Self-portraits (often captured in the quiet corners of nature), reflect this simplicity and vulnerability. They are my way of journaling and grounding myself in the present, and a true gift to myself yet to be shared with the world.

I no longer collect things. Instead, I’ve become a collector of moments—fleeting, unpolished, and deeply meaningful. Many of these moments remain untouched, stored away like treasures that only I can hold. They are souvenirs of this road trip, not in the form of trinkets, but in the form of memories that hold the weight of transformation. The art of minimalism—of living with less and feeling more—has shaped not only my lifestyle but also my art (view galleries here!).

Embracing the art of detachment: to love all, attach to nothing, and connect to everything. Freedom isn’t found in arriving at a destination but in being fully present for the ride. And in those long stretches of highway, under vast skies and surrounded by ever-changing landscapes, I found the most important connection of all—the one with myself.

This space, my work, and my photography are an extension of that journey. Here, I share glimpses of this path—not to tell you where I’ve been, but to inspire you to embrace where you are, and maybe, to take the next step on your own journey. Check out my gear bag & road life essentials packing list.
