Excellent recipe. I do the same thing, enjoy a few servings and freeze the rest. Although my prep and cook time is quite a bit longer as I make a 12 litre pot and have tons of leftovers.

I'll tell you the only way I eat chili (this makes it a little unhealthier but what are you going to do) grate some sharp cheddar or old cheddar, sprinkle on top of the chili, add a few dollops of sour cream and eat the whole damn bowl with Tostitos Scoops corn chips. No spoon needed.

Remember that old Tim Hortons commercial when Tims first introduced chili, where all the guys try to one up each other on their eating escapades? "Oh yeah, this one time I ate 12 hard boild eggs!" All the guys would go "Whowwwwwww!" Then finally the last guy says "Yesterday I ate an entire bowl of chili..." Everybody's silent, then he continues "... and then I ate THE BOWL!!!!" And they all pat him on the back.

Commercials stink now, especially Tim Horton commercials.

Comment on #1 excuse and complaint for not working out? Not enough time! by Derek

Time is a crutch. If the day was 36 hours long people world still say they "don't have enough time." It's their fall back excuse. If people were honest with themselves their #1 excuse would be they have no motivation.

In general people are lazy. I know this because I am a person. I am 6 foot 6 and 235 pounds. I am slightly overweight. I have a bit of a gut. If I did 30 to 40 sit-ups a day, my gut would be pretty much gone in a couple of months. I know all of these things and yet...? Do I do anything about it? No.

I want to lose that weight but at the same time I don't, get it? Without motivation I don't want to lose that weight, I don't see the purpose. The cynic inside you will ALWAYS ask "Why should I?"

With motivation that weight is as good as gone. With motivation, you have the answer to the question "Why should I?" With motivation the cynic is silenced.

People are also looking for instant results. When you start saving money by cutting back expenses the results are instantaneous, the extra money is in your pockets. Not always the case but most people feel that it would just take too long and too much effort to get back into shape because they can't see instant results.

Namaste haven't heard that one in a while, nice. Good luck in the new year and hopefully you get your own TV show or something. Maybe a Yoga show, Groovin with Grover. As for me I hope to do more of the same of what I did in 2011... have fun.

As a huge sports fan, I went to a bunch of games last year. I went to game 3 of the Stanely Cup finals in Boston (with a Bruin and a Canuck fan as well as my brother (Leaf fan)). I was front row with my dad and brother to watch my Eagles get trounced by the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo. I was 6 rows from the Eagle bench to watch my Eagles kill the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night in Philadelphia. We had better seats than Olympic Sprinter Carl Lewis he was 4 rows behind us, we were so lucky.

It'll be a tough year to top but I'm not looking to top it so much as to just keep it going. Having a good time with friends and family, while also setting time aside for myself.

Fitness products, in my opinion are facetious. They are not to be taken seriously, you get out of it what you think your going to get out of it. You believe what you want to believe. If I was to tell you that my Playstation kept away tigers, you'd say that's impossible, to which I'd reply but no tiger has ever been near my Playstation so it must work. It's true that my Playstation has never been near a tiger but that doesn't mean it keeps tigers away. It's not sound reasoning. Just because I tell you my product is going to give you better abs or a tighter butt doesn't mean it's gonna. And if you actually wanted to lose the weight or get in better shape you would and wouldn't need some "product" to help you. You need you to help you and no one else. Stay true to yourself. If you want it, you want it and if you don't then it's just another gimmick to say you "tried."

You get to train with a retired NFL linebacker? As Napoleon Dynamite would say "Luckyyyyyyy....."

One thing that is a great calorie burner, not really a work out per se (depending who you ask, I say yes) is dancing. As the very sexy band Earth, Wind, & Fire say...

Let this groove, light up your fuse, alright
Let this groove, set in your shoes

Just tell the DJ to play your favorite tune
then you know it's okay
What you found is happiness, now

Let this groove, get you to move, alright
Let this groove set in your shoes
stand up, alright

It's funny. Any attempt by me to try and do these maneuvers would result in serious injury and ridicule.... especially if I was wearing your outfit.

On the other hand, my very beautiful mother goes to yoga every week and she is quite happy with the results.

My New Years resoution was not so much to lose weight but just to get in better shape. At 61/2 feet tall and 235 lbs, I'm not a long way off a somewhat ideal BMI. What my real New Years resolution was not to eat fast food all year. Three weeks into the new year I haven't and probably the most surprising thing is, that I don't miss it at all.

BTW it's great to see you again in video form.....even if it is just a webcam ;)
