I workout! Girl look at that body!…
Exercise your entire body, think full body not just your favorite part!! Each muscle and their counter muscle group, needs to be worked equally!!
A lot of guys want to get big, so they over work their upper bodies and walk around with chicken legs.  Girls seem to do the opposite, all cardio or legs no weights or upper body.  Here’s the deal about your bod, it’s like a pulley system, where each muscle group has a corresponding counterpart (think back and front as well as top to bottom) and when one side is tighter than another it becomes shorter tighter turning the body into an un-comfortable un-balanced state. 
You will plateau.  Guys think about the foundation first, if you are trying to get ‘BIG’ arms you need a strong base, chicken legs are no bueno. All that hard work and not so big result because your body can only support so much weight. Pump up those legs for extra upper body support!
You need proportion. Ladies working your upper body will make your corresponding parts look better too! It’s all about filling out and keeping yourself proportional think Barbie 36 24 36 – not many look like that but you get the point? You want your legs to look slimmer and waistline tighter? Working the upper half is the trick, and bonus it will make your entire body look slimmer by improving your posture.
Workout tips:
Everything starts from the core.  Engage it, it is the ultimate foundation for posture, alignment, lifting heavier, ands icing on the cake you will burn more calories if you keep it tight throughout your entire workout.
Foam roll the area you are working on pre-workout, this will create length in the muscle (no bulk)
Ladies, in order to not bulk up from the weights, if you think you do or will it is imperative you take a yoga class to steam line, and lengthen.  Guys should take yoga too – guess where the ladies are??
Cardio.  You need it.  If you feel like a rat running on the machines, try something awesome like a spin, zumba or kickboxing class to burn over 500 calories per hour!
Don’t be afraid to challenge yourself, keep bumping the weight, do plyo in between sets, giver – it’s the only way you will get fit and strong!

Work from the inside out.  You want to be fitter? Stronger? Leaner? Healthier? Sexier? Slimmer? Think that way, positive thoughts create positive action!
