Raspberry & beet smoothie

Red Beet and Raspberry smoothie:
 
This is delicious! If you aren’t really into beets, this smoothie is a great intro.  It’s a bit sweet and still super healthy!
 
Directions: 
1 medium sized beet (either boiled & skinned) in the blender or if you have a juicer you can juice the entire beet
1 small carton of raspberries or 1 cup frozen raspberries.
½ cup of coconut water
(if you are using fresh berries, toss a few ice cubes into the mix so its refreshingly cold)
Blend. Sip. Drink to your health. Enjoy.
 
Why you should eat or drink beets on the regular:
  •  Beets are low in fat, loaded with antioxidants, have high levels of anti-carcinogens, excellent source of fiber and folic acid,
  • The pigment in beets (betacyanin) when absorbed into the blood stream can increase the oxygen-carrying ability of the blood by up to 400 per cent.
  •  Beets can help in the following problems; Headaches, toothaches, dysentery, lumbago, skin problems, menstrual problems, etc.
  • Drinking beets regularly can help relieve constipation.
  • Beets can help in normalizing blood pressure.
  • Beets helps to keep the elasticity of arteries, when consumed regularly it can help prevent varicose veins.
  • The iron content in beets make them a powerful blood cleanser and builder.
  • Beet juice helps stimulate the function of liver cells and protect the liver and bile ducts.
  • Beet juice is highly alkaline which makes it effective in the treatment of acidosis.
     
    NOTE* If you’ve never tried beets before, don’t be alarmed when you see a red color in your urine and stools, there is nothing to worry about this is just the color from red beets.

Green Smoothie With Pear

Today’s green smoothie…
(I make em different all the time)
 
1 scoop vanilla Rivalus protien
1 TBSP flax seed
1 TBSP Lecithin Granules (Nervous System Support) 
1 TBSP vitamineral greens
1 huge handful spinach
1 handful fresh mint leaves
1/4 pear 
3/4 almond breeze vanilla 40 calorie almond milk

Green Smoothie

It’s delicious, quick and easy… Drink to your health and vitality!
 
Toss all ingredients into blender on high for 1-2 minutes
1 Scoop Vanilla Rivalus Protein 
1/2 TBSP flax seed
1 heaping TBSP Vitamineral Greens
5 Kale leaves
1/2 banana
bunch mint leaves
1 pitted medjool date 
3/4 Almond Breeze almond milk
 
Approximately 300 Calories
