I’m completely passionate about health, fitness and wellness, which is why I thought it would be awesome to participate in an event that not only had a physical component but also impacts the lives of others in need… and it was… magnificent!! I did it, I raised almost $1400 in the 1st annual Concrete Hero downtown LA…. A 5KM human obstacle course… Race day was exhilarating… The obstacles weren’t so scary after all… I leaped over parked cars in Carmageddon, scaled the “Hollywood Sign, crossed the tar pits on the jungle gym bars without falling in.
All proceeds from the Concrete Hero benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles, which promotes self-sufficiency for people living with HIV/AIDS, supports positive medical outcomes, and keeps people living with HIV/AIDS in care and treatment programs. Any amount of money donated helped to make a huge difference in helping the over 60,000 people living with HIV/AIDS.
When you have your health anything is possible, when you don’t—nothing else matters… So I’ll be doing it again next year! Donate here.
