A night of Generosity: Water = Life

Published on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 By Amy Lynn Grover

The 4th annual NIGHT of  GENEROSITY at The Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles was a fabulous event supporting a huge cause!  For those of who don’t know, there’s nearly 1 billion people living without access to clean drinking water.  Limited access to clean drinking water, insufficient sanitation and poor hygiene kills more people than wars, famine and AIDs combined (about 3.6 million annually). Generosity water thus far has done 330 projects in 18 countries and helped 222, 906 people.  Generosity Water is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to ending the clean water crisis in developing countries, one community at a time.

Blu Democracy clothing line donates directly to Generosity Water every time you purchase any item from the line. Blu Democracy uses bamboo fabrics using 1/3 less water to produce their garments (240 gallons per T as opposed to 720 gallons for a cotton T), produces in LA sweatshop free.

You can help by: donating to the cause or sporting our clothes! Enter code ALGblu for 25% off!

I’m very excited to announce that in just a few short weeks–I’ll be launching a Yoga line designed by Cassie Stevenson of Blu Dem with the same earth friendly initiatives and of course supporting Generosity Water.
