Cleanse

Cleansing is an optimal way to give our adult bodies the break they deserve while also keeping ourselves energized and nutritionally satisfied.

cleanseIt’s like taking you car in for a tune up, once cleansed you will feel clear, optimistic and rejuvenated on the inside, and radiant and lean on the outside.

What Exactly is it?

A cleanse focuses mainly on clearing out and cleaning up the digestive tract (from mouth to anus), which includes eliminating toxic, compacted fecal matter from the bowels, parasites and fungi (like Candida).

Why?

It’s like a reset Button for the Body! Cleansing helps to rid our body of all that crap!  It takes approximately 18 hours for most people before your body eliminates one meal. Considering most of us consume three meals a day, plus snacks, your digestive system is working almost all the time!

See…

Our bodies are amazingly, they do this detox thing naturally— however they weren’t designed to stand up against modern day times and all the things we put our bodies through.

Build Up.

Think about all the foods and other things you consume daily, the environment in which you live and work in and the quality of air that you breathe. It’s not just obese people or fast food eating types—Toxicity builds up in even the cleanest eating individual.

One Tube.

The small intestine is a long tubular organ (approximately 25′ with 150 corners), over time congestion occurs from modern day rushed eating habits, poor diet, traveling, stress, etc., which adds stress and congestion to the entire system. The small intestine can get clogged up with food particles, toxins from foods, bacteria, plaque, parasites and mucus thus creating a mis mash of waste causing pain in various forms (gas & bloating). The small intestine isn’t water tight and over time the backlog can evolve into an overflow of toxins into your blood stream.

Frequency?

Cleansing with the seasons, Spring and Fall are always great times to pull back and reset. However you can always pull back to give your body a break, by doing restorative practices, less intense workouts, with a cleansing diet. The key is not to over do it.

During.

Cleansing is a process wherein the body is working hard to rid itself of toxins; you may feel tired and need extra rest during this time. Tune in and take extra care of yourself, don’t push it too hard at the gym, give yourself extra time to for rest and rejuvenation for baths, massages, and retire to bed earlier than usual.

It’s Mental. Surrender and Let go!

Throughout life we experience traumas major and minor, we have thoughts and feelings on events and times; all of which get impacted and lay within our physical bodies.  Cleansing can bring up a variety of emotions that have been suppressed over the years.  Cleansing can help with the process of “letting go” of things withheld in the body.

Will it help me lose weight?

Yes, we all carry a few pounds of crap that is just waiting to be released. Some muscle loss may occur depending on the length and type.

What about The Master Cleanse?

This cleanse is composed of water, cayenne pepper, lemon & maple syrup, it severely reduces calorie intake. After trying it myself, I wouldn’t recommend it, I don’t know how safe it is.
